Ian is a retired science teacher having taught in prep schools in Nairobi and Sussex. It was at Cavina School, Nairobi that as well as teaching he shared his passion for the environment by running the school wildlife club, organising camping trips to the national parks and expeditions up Mount Kenya.

Once back in UK Ian regularly visited Kenya and ran numerous school trips there. He has been a regular UK Rhino Charge competitor. Ian has championed a number of Kenyan charities and organised a wide variety of fund raising events over the years.
