Rhino Ark has received significant donations in the first quarter of 2007.

Construction programme for Guard Posts:

We are currently inviting donations to support the permanent guard posts construction programme.

In February KENGEN donated Ksh3 m. for the construction of two guard posts.

In March CARBACID (C02) COMPANY fulfilled its pledge last year and has given us a cheque of Ksh 1.3m. for the guard post to be constructed at the fence line boundary on the road to the Carbacid Mine in Kereita.

KENYA SHELL has also confirmed Ksh 1.5m. for the guard post construction programme.

EDEN WILDLIFE TRUST has confirmed a donation of Ksh0.6m. to meet 50% of the cost of one guard post.

2006 USF&WS donation for Guard Post:

In early April, British Army Engineers will complete the construction of two guard posts in northern Aberdares on the fence line at Rhino Gate and Shamata Gate.

With all the funds referred above Rhino Ark is planning to complete seven permanent structure posts equipped with full communications and energiser houses on Phases Three, Five and Six during this year.
